Patrick Kabamba
Patrick is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the Management Consulting Practice, and driving growth to remain the premier and leading management consulting practice in Sub Saharan Africa. Over the course of a few years Patrick has managed to position the Practice as one of the most important strategic and operational consultant for the banking industry on AML/CFTP. He has led several local and international projects since the firm was established in 2018. Prior to this, Patrick also led the Financial Advisory Practice of Exim Advisory Services Limited in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He was Bank Examiner with the Bank of Zambia where he evaluated the financial health and soundness of banks prior to joining the management consulting community. Patrick graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Zanzibar University in Zanzibar (2000). He completed the Bank Examination School of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in New York City (2004) and the Anti-Money Laundering School of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC, USA (2005). He is a trained and certified investment advisor and stockbroker for the Nairobi Stock Exchange, Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange and the Uganda Securities Exchange. Patrick is also a trained and certified investment advisor and stockbroker for the Lusaka Stock Exchange. He is author of the book namely Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer – A Short Guide to the Bank’s Customer Due Diligence. He serves on the Executive Committee of the firm and he is the Chief Executive of the firm.
Ernest Mushanda Chisongo
Ernest is a seasoned business consultant with over 25 years work experience. After having worked in the Central Bank of Zambia known as the Bank of Zambia for over 10 years as a Bank Inspector and Senior Economist in charge of Financial Stability. Prior to that, Ernest worked for over Five (5) years as an Inspector of Taxes for the Tax Authority of Zambia known as the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA). He has consulted as an analyst in Credit Rating, Company Valuations, IFRS 9, Microfinance, and Lecturer of Masters’ Students in International Business Finance and as an expert for Banking and Finance for the Higher Education Authority of Zambia. He has also sat on the Finance and Investment Committee of the board of directors of the largest building society in Zambia called the Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS). He is a chartered accountant having qualified as a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK in 2008 and fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a master’s degree in banking and finance and a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. Ernest is a certified Income Tax Law and Practice Expert. He holds several professional certifications including from the Federal Reserve Banks of the United States of America in Washington D.C and San Francisco, California in bank management, bank examinations, risk management, Basel II and III, AML/FATF just to list a few. He serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
Brian Lombe Mwaba
A qualified accountant with almost two decades of professional services experience, Brian started his career at Cavmont Merchant Bank, and later moved to Alexander Forbes Financial Services. He later joined the management consultancy market where he provides financial services and accounting consulting services. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). According to Ernest Chisongo, Management Consultant with Kabamba Advisory and Patrick Kabamba, CEO, Brian’s credential will bring “a wide range of experience at an exciting time” for the business, and the financial services sector. Brian will particularly help the financial advisory team deliver advice to both executive management and boards of directors of commercial banks, across the breadth of firm’s client base and with new opportunities. He serves on the Executive Committee of the firm.
